Finding kid-friendly restaurants in Greenville, SC doesn't have to be much of a challenge, as long as you know what you're looking for. While some restaurants are explicitly kid-centric, others offer plenty of options for adults, too. Whether you want a place that offers inexpensive kids' meals or a place that will keep your kids entertained while they eat, you'll find lots of options in the Greenville neighborhood.

Focus on Fun

Going out to eat with your family should be a fun time. If you decide to visit the Johnny Rockets located at Frankie's Fun Park, you're pretty much guaranteeing that you and the kids will have a great day or evening. Johnny Rockets is a 50's style diner with menu options such as hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes. When you get a table there, the staff gives you a coin so that you can pick a song from the on-table jukebox. Pick the right song and the wait staff will line up and dance along.

Kid-Friendly Menu

Some restaurants know that kids aren't going to want to eat off of the adult menu or that kids might not be able to handle a quarter pound burger. A few eateries in Greenville offer menu options sized and catered to kids. For example, Brixx pizza features a kids menu that consists of cheese or pepperoni pizza, or a pasta dish, for just $4.95. The pizzeria's kids menu also offers a s'mores pizza for dessert. Brixx doesn't just cater to kids when it comes to food. The restaurant also gives the young ones pieces of dough to play with while they wait for their meal to arrive.

For a kid-friendly taste of southern cuisine, take the family to the Greenville outlet of Tupelo Honey Cafe. The cafe focuses on serving made-from-scratch, fresh versions of popular Southern dishes. Its kids menu is slightly more sophisticated than what you'd find at other restaurants (there's not a chicken finger in sight), but still kid-friendly enough to appeal to the pickiest of eaters.

Kids Eat Free

Southern Fried Green Tomatoes, as its name suggests, serves a menu that focuses on southern favorites. The restaurant serves meat and vegetable plates, which include one serving of meat, such as fried chicken, grilled ham, or fried catfish, and two servings of vegetables, such as fried green tomatoes, sautéed collard greens, or sweet potato soufflé. Kids' meals are scaled down versions of the meat and two veggies options, available for $3.99. On Mondays and Wednesdays from 4pm – 9pm, kids eat free with a paying adult. Kids eat free all day on Saturday, too.

S&S Cafeteria also specializes in comfort food, served in a cafeteria like setting. As you walk down the line, you can choose one entree and two vegetable sides, or a combination of four salads. Kids' meals are just 99 cents with a paying adult, and you can get up to two kids meals for that price per adult. The cafeteria also offers a "Lollipop tree," from which kids can pick out the lollipop of their choice after their meal.
